Meet Your Vocal Coach

Rachel Anne Hunt (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist, performer, director, and certified voice teacher based in Toronto.

Rachel is currently completing her final year of certification with the Institute for Vocal Advancement, continuing to deepen her expertise in vocal function and evidence-based pedagogy.

Drawing on both academic training and professional performance experience, Rachel helps singers and performers build vocal stamina, consistency, and sustainable vocal function through applied technique and a deeper understanding of their individual voice.

Known for creating a technically rigorous yet supportive learning environment, Rachel works with singers to develop the tools, awareness, and confidence needed to meet the demands of performance with greater ease and reliability.

Her Approach

Her Approach

Rachel’s teaching is rooted in the belief that healthy vocal development is about more than sounding good in a single moment - it is about building a voice that can meet the ongoing demands of rehearsals, performance, and training in a sustainable way.

Her work focuses on helping singers better understand their vocal habits and tendencies while developing the technical tools needed for greater consistency, efficiency, and long-term vocal reliability.

Lessons are tailored to each singer’s individual goals, whether they are preparing for auditions, refining technique, navigating vocal fatigue, returning to singing after time away, or building greater confidence in their instrument.

A Performer-Informed Perspective

As both a performer and educator, Rachel understands the realities of managing a voice across repeated use.

Like many singers, her own experience led her to explore the relationship between vocal technique, recovery, and long-term sustainability more deeply.

This perspective continues to shape her teaching today, allowing her to help singers move beyond short-term fixes and toward a more informed, sustainable relationship with their voice.

Rachel’s goal is to help singers build not only stronger technique, but the awareness, consistency, and confidence needed to meet the demands of performance with greater ease and trust in their voice.
